For over 20 years Austin SSC has built communities around play – not just scores. After running leagues for more than 25,000 adults each year, we know leagues rooted in fun, friendship, and social connection keep people coming back. Kids who experience sport as exploration and joy are more likely to stay active and try new games as they grow. If children miss out on that playful start, will they still choose sports as adults? We’re here to make sure the answer is yes.

Mission

Our mission is to return the focus to fun in youth sports.

After running leagues for over 25,000 adults per year, Austin SSC realizes sports based around fun and social behavior, versus the sole focus on winning, have kept our customers coming back for 16 years. However, will kids still be interested in playing sports as adults that they never were able to try?

Parents have prioritized specialization and elite travel team competition for their children. However the studies show this is not working; injuries and burnout are at an all-time high. If that particular sport does not workout, they find it too late to start another, leaving too many kids without any sports by high school. The community at SSC Kids will strive to create a fun filled environment where players have time for multiple sports and activities, allowing your practice and play to be the best part of your day!

Vision

Our vision is to elevate the youth in our community by incorporating sports into their lifestyle to promote healthy physical and mental habits. This includes working to increase participation in multiple recreational sports and helping develop your child’s mentality and integrity. We want to allow families the flexibility to have sports be one part of their life, versus spending weekends traveling far for tournaments and weekdays attending multiple practices. Our fun and uplifting environment will support children on and off the field.
